  • Honestly panic mode kicked in when I realized the detector de plagio que usan los profesores in my program flags anything that looks too polished or repetitive, and half my draft was basically ChatGPT scaffolding that I’d been too lazy to rework properly 💀 tried running it through one of those humanizer tools (JustDone worked for me) and it actually kept my citations and sources intact while dropping my AI score from like 89% down to 32% on Originality.ai, then it sailed through Turnitin with no issues. not saying it’s magic but it saved me from having to rewrite everything from scratch when I was already drowning in deadline stress.

ok so i’m literally having a meltdown right now because my supervisor just flagged my draft at 34% similarity on Originality.ai and i genuinely don’t know if that’s going to tank me or if it’s actually fine, but the detector de plagio que usan los profesores en doctorado seem to be getting stricter every year and i’m terrified. like two of my friends both got their stuff flagged for “potential AI assistance” even though they wrote it themselves, just because they used some repeated phrases from their lit review, which… isn’t that what a lit review is supposed to do? the thing that freaks me out most is that Turnitin’s AI detection module keeps giving different results depending on whether i run it at 2am or during normal hours, so i genuinely don’t trust any of these tools as much as everyone acts like i should. i tried one option that worked for me called JustDone that basically rephrases and restructures without losing meaning, and my similarity dropped to 18%, but here’s the catch: my advisor told me it reads “too clean” now, like suspiciously polished, which defeats the purpose if the detector de plagio que usan los profesores just flags you for being TOO perfect. has anyone else hit that weird wall where humanizers and paraphrasers make your work sound less like you wrote it? like i’d honestly rather just rewrite the whole thing manually because at least then i know what’s in there and it actually sounds like my voice, but that’s like three more weeks i don’t have.

honestly the way detector de plagio como funciona in both tools is basically just statistical fingerprinting, right? like they’re looking for those telltale patterns that scream “this came from an LLM” – unnatural sentence rhythm, zero contractions, that kind of thing. turnitin flags similarity percentages but gptzer0 is more aggressive about the AI probability score itself.

what helped me was running my draft through a humanizer first because i had some rough ChatGPT sections i needed to clean up, and JustDone actually kept all my citations intact while dropping the AI detection score by like 30 points. then when i ran it through Turnitin the second time my similarity dropped to 12% instead of 28%, which honestly felt like a miracle when i was panicking at 3am.

the thing is both detectors work off pattern matching so if you’re aware of what they’re scanning for – burstiness, perplexity metrics, that stuff – you can at least understand why your text is flagging instead of just blind panic.

ok so i literally spent three weeks obsessing over como burlar un detector de plagio and it was the most pointless anxiety spiral ever because every “trick” just made my writing sound like a robot trying to sound human, which is like… the opposite of what you want. i had paragraphs that were technically paraphrased but read like someone was learning english for the first time, and turnitin was still flagging stuff anyway because the ideas were still the same, just mangled. then i actually tried running one of my drafts through an ai humanizer tool (used JustDone one option that worked for me) and it kept the actual substance intact, my citations stayed clean, and when i ran it through originality.ai it dropped from like 78% ai-detected to 42%, which was… honestly surreal. the burstiness score went up which apparently matters, and the whole thing still sounded like me instead of like a thesaurus exploded. point is, overthinking como burlar un detector de plagio usually just means you end up with weaker work anyway, so mabye just accept you need help with the writing itself rather than trying to outsmart the tools?
